HOUSTON … August 23, 2016 … Gorilla Safety, provider of an innovative, proprietary and patented software solution that fully automates all aspects of fleet and safety management, announced today the appointment of Ken Veit to account executive, a new position within its growing sales network.
Veit brings decades of mobile transportation technology experience to Gorilla Safety. As a seasoned sales executive, he will help to further elevate the awareness and benefits of Gorilla Safety’s new solution in the marketplace through sales and account management leadership and support efforts.
Prior to joining Gorilla Safety, Veit founded MobileTec LLC in Houston, which provided selected technology products to the transportation industry. He also spent nine years as both director of sales and director of business development at STEMCO, LP of Longview, Texas, a heavy duty truck component parts manufacturer. Previously, Veit also founded Mobiletech Systems, Inc. of Austin, where he provided consulting service to transportation entities and mobile communications companies. Other top sales roles include those at American Mobile Satellite Corp., in Tomball; Texas and QualComm, Inc., where he served as director of Southwest region sales and support. Early on in his career, Veit held IT management and key operations roles at several trucking companies.

Veit, a resident of Cypress, Texas, earned a Bachelor degree in business administration from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wis. and an Associate of Arts degree in business data processing from Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wis., where he graduated summa cum laude. He is affiliated with a range of trade associations including: American Marketing Association (AMA); American Trucking Association – Information Technology; Technology and Maintenance Council; and, Texas Motor Transportation Association (TMTA).
